It’s been 3 months since I’ve written a blog, April was the last time, in the middle of lockdown and although it’s been 16 weeks till now, it feels like years! It’s certainly been a tough time for everyone and affected everyone in different ways, whether good or bad.
In my last blog I mentioned I started running and intended to run a 10k by September. Well after running once a week, I actually completed a 10k in June! I was well chuffed with myself. For me running gave me freedom, it helped me cope better with lockdown and life in general. I could just run and run and run. I was out in nature, fresh air, being in the beautiful countryside, my mind was clear and I was feeling grateful that I was healthy and that I could run. I was hooked and still am!
This I feel is what made me realise that I wanted my retreat days to be outside in nature, whatever the weather! And to be away from people, where your mind can be still, open and quiet...for you to do just as you wish, to relax, walk, heal, renew and revive in just a day that feels like a week’s holiday.
So from 7 August, Dani Wellbeing will be open again for exclusive retreat days only, which will be outside in nature, connecting and healing in nature, even your treatment will be either relaxing in a hammock under the tree, in a reclining chair in the garden or summerhouse with doors wide open. Keeping you safe and us safe at all times.
If you feel like you want to get away but don’t want to be with loads of people about and you enjoy fresh air, one of my retreat days would be ideal for you. You can escape and explore on our private land in our fields and woods in rural Gloucestershire and see the beautiful 360 degree views of the Malvern Hills, May Hill, Gloucester Cathedral, Berrow Hill, Cleeve Hill & Bredon Hill. Enjoy the vastness of the sky, watching clouds float by in different shapes and sizes, listening to the birds singing, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, the breeze in your hair.... Nature is a great healer in itself and to be walking in nature, connecting with nature, brings a real sense of wellbeing. Plus having a treatment outside too is such a wonderful relaxing experience.
These Retreat Days are solely for one person only, so you have time for you to just be. Just choose your day from mon-fri and let us know when you wish to come. More details on our website which has been recently updated.
